Another life lesson from the kitties - How Much Do You Need To Know?
How much do you need to know?
Having three cats, I often find myself wondering "who did it?"
Occasionally the situation concerns some broken item, or something from the kitchen counter found on the floor.
More often (unfortunately), it involves finding a pile of cat barf and having fantasies of obtaining DNA analysis to identify the culprit.
This morning, while doing the cleanup, it occurred to me to ask why I even bother to ask "who dunnit?"
Why do we need to know who did something that bothers us?
So we can have someone to blame?
Wouldn't it be better to blame no one and just clean it up and let it go?
Wouldn’t that be better for all of our relationships anyway?
Where in your life are you thinking about something that annoyed you and wondering who "done you wrong?"
While I hate cleaning up cat barf, I love my cats and I don't want to spend one more second thinking about which one might have done the dirty deed. I'd rather go play with them.
So I encourage you to ask yourself how much you need to know, and what hurt or slight you can let go of today.
Because you may not realize how much it was weighing you down until you let it go.
If you are hanging onto anger, resentment, or blame, either consciously or more subtly, I'd love to help you with that. Just message me.
